Abstract

Artificial intelligence is “the science and engineering of producing intelligent systems”. The present article focuses on the beginning, meaning, influence, advantages and benefits of artificial intelligence in the field of education. AI has brought countless benefits to the process of communication, information and transmission of knowledge in the daily, social, political, economic and cultural life of society. It enabled virtual navigation and interaction at international, national, local, and family levels. In education, it has favored the adoption of innovative teaching-learning, management, planning, organization and school coordination methodologies in real time. It has assisted the teacher to plan, teach, evaluate, provide feedback and interact in an active and dynamic way with his students. Through virtual platforms, flipped classes and hybrid teaching, education has become more attractive, motivating and engaging for students. AI contributes enormously to student immersion, self-management and self-learning, a quality criterion that we strive to achieve. AI offers new ways of teaching and learning, a challenge that implies investment, learning and continuous and planned use, and a brave decision by institutions to adopt the immense potential it offers.
